No shocking result in a game in Shanghai where second ranked Sharks (18-4) defeated 11th ranked Royal Fighters (11-11) 118-104. Sharks made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Royal Fighters were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for the former international swingman Haowen Guo (201-0) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. American power forward Noah Vonleh (208-95, college: Indiana, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Sanning Liao (189-1) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists and American-Austrian swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia, agency: BeoBasket) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) in the effort for Royal Fighters. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sharks. They maintain second place with 18-4 record having just two points less than leader Liaoning FL, which they share with Guangsha L. Royal Fighters at the other side keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Sharks will play against Long-Lions (#7) in Guangzhou in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Royal Fighters will play at home against Jiangsu Dragons (#18) and hope to get back on the winning track.
