Regular Season Round 12: Beirut Club - Champville 104-70

Very expected game when 7th ranked Champville (4-6) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Beirut Club (8-2) 104-70 on Tuesday. Beirut Club outrebounded Champville 42-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Hayk Gyokchyan (203-90, college: F&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and the former international point guard Rodrigue Akl (187-88) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists during the contest. Four Beirut Club players scored in double figures. Beirut Club's coach Ahmad Farran felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Patrick Bou Abboud (199-87) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Ibrahim Haddad (-98) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Beirut Club maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Dynamo, which they share with Sagesse. Champville lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost.
