Regular Season Round 27: Nagasaki - Iwate 102-65

B3 League top team - Nagasaki (24-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Iwate (16-10) 102-65. Nagasaki forced 22 Iwate turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Iwate helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-91, college: USA, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Nagasaki players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was DR Congolese center Kalongi Patrick (206-99) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and American Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nagasaki have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains first place with 24-2 record. Iwate at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Nagasaki are looking forward to face Gifu (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Iwate will play against Shinagawa (#14) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
