Regular Season Round 6: Fubon Braves - Kings 95-91

Very important is a loss of third ranked Kings (4-4) against fourth ranked Fubon Braves (5-4) on Sunday night. Kings were defeated by Fubon Braves in a tough game 91-95. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Wen-Ting Tseng (204-84) supported him with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 16 points and 29 rebounds by American center Thomas Welsh (213-96, college: UCLA) did not help to save the game for Kings. The former international guard Chin-Min Yang (190-84) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Fubon Braves and four Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Kings dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Fubon Braves will meet Pilots (#5) in the next round. Kings will have a break next round.
