Rather expected game when 6th ranked Tokyo Z (5-25) was crushed on the road by third ranked Sendai 89ers (19-10) 92-70 on Saturday. Sendai 89ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was Devin Oliver (204-92, college: Dayton) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. Center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Mark Burton (183-98, college: Fayetteville St.) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sendai 89ers moved-up to second place, which they share with Fukushima. Tokyo Z lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 25 games lost. Sendai 89ers will again meet at home Tokyo Z (#6) in the next round. Tokyo Z will have a break next round.
