An interesting game for Aquas (8-1) which played against 3rd ranked N.Taipei CTBC (4-4). First ranked Aquas had an easy win 93-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of N.Taipei CTBC. They outrebounded N.Taipei CTBC 60-49 including 16 on the offensive glass. Aquas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-91, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 30 rebounds. American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-91, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American Marlon Johnson (208-94, college: NMHU) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and international forward Mohammad Al Bachir (188-98) added 18 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for N.Taipei CTBC. Five Aquas and four N.Taipei CTBC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aquas have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. N.Taipei CTBC at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Aquas are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Leopards (#6) in Taoyuan in the next round where they are favorite. N.Taipei CTBC will play on the road against GhostHawks in Tainan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
