Regular Season Round 6: Fubon Braves - Dreamers 80-86

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Dreamers (4-3) beat one of their biggest challengers Fubon Braves (5-4) 86-80 on Friday. Dreamers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dreamers made 12 blocks. The former international center Te-Wei Lee (201-91) notched 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks to lead the effort and the former international forward Douglas Creighton (196-85, college: Madonna) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds by American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Fubon Braves. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) added 22 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Dreamers went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Fubon Braves dropped to the second place with four games lost. Dreamers will meet bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in the next round. Fubon Braves will play against Pilots (#5) in Taoyuan and hope to secure a win.
