Regular Season Round 26: Niigata A. - Hitachi SRT 73-84
Date: January 3, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Niigata A. (2-24) lost at home to sixth ranked Hitachi SRT (17-9) 84-73 on Monday. Hitachi SRT looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Even 26 points and 8 rebounds by Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Niigata A.. American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) added 12 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hitachi SRT moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tochigi Brex and Akita NH. Niigata A. lost twenty third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 24 games lost. Hitachi SRT will meet at home league's second-placed Kawasaki BT in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Niigata A. will play against Osaka E. (#6) and hope to secure a win.
