Regular Season Round 28: Bambitious N. - Nishinomiya S. 71-92

Very expected game when 7th ranked Bambitious N. (7-21) was smashed by second ranked Nishinomiya S. (17-11) in Nara 92-71 on Monday. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious N.'s 38. They outrebounded Bambitious N. 32-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Nishinomiya S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American Shaquille Hines (203-93, college: UTRGV) who scored that evening 47 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, college: Cincinnati) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Even 25 points and 6 rebounds by Zimbabwean-American swingman Jordache Mavunga (193, college: Indianapolis, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Bambitious N.. American-Nigerian center Chris Otule (211-90, college: Marquette) added 8 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nishinomiya S. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-11 record having seven points less than leader Kagawa FA. Bambitious N. lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 21 games lost. Nishinomiya S. will meet at home league's leader Kagawa FA in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bambitious N. will play against the league's second-placed Fukushima (#2) and hope to secure a win.
