Regular Season Round 27: Ehime OV - Kumamoto V. 73-98

Not a big story in a game in Matsuyama where 6th ranked Ehime OV (11-18) was outplayed by third ranked Kumamoto V. (16-12) 98-73 on Sunday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Kumamoto V.'s coach Don Beck felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American-German center Ryan Kriener (208-98, college: Iowa) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Kumamoto V. maintains third place with 16-12 record having six points less than leader Kagawa FA. Loser Ehime OV keeps the sixth position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
