Very important is a loss of second ranked Kings (3-3) against fourth ranked Fubon Braves (4-3) on Sunday night. Kings were defeated by Fubon Braves in a tough game 115-120. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Fubon Braves outrebounded Kings 58-45 including 20 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Thomas Welsh (213-96, college: UCLA) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds and the former international guard Kai-Yen Lee (182-93) added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Kings. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves moved-up to second place. Kings lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Fubon Braves will play against Dreamers (#3) in Changhua in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kings' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Taipei to the arena Fubon Braves.
