Regular Season Round 10: Sagesse - Al Riyadi 91-79

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beirut: Sagesse (#3) and Al Riyadi (#3). Sagesse (7-2) won against visiting Al Riyadi (5-2) 91-79. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al Riyadi. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Ali Mezher (182-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Point guard Marc Khoueiry (185-1) contributed with 18 points for the winners. The former international swingman Jean Abdel Nour (198-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Ali Mansour (185-98) added 13 points and 8 assists in the effort for Al Riyadi. Five Sagesse and four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. Sagesse have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Defending champion Al Riyadi dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Sagesse will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Riyadi will play at home against Atlas (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
