Regular Season Round 25: Gunma CT - Tochigi Brex 88-97

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (17-9) beat on the road 8th ranked Gunma CT (11-15) 97-88 on Sunday. Tochigi Brex dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Gunma CT's 26 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Gunma CT 40-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American power forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) chipped in 21 points. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex's coach Ryuzo Anzai used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side American center Kyle Barone (203-89, college: Idaho) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Tochigi Brex maintains fourth place with 17-9 record. Gunma CT lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost.
