Regular Season Round 9: Dynamo - Anibal 118-71

LBL top team - Dynamo (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Anibal (0-8) in Beirut 118-71. Dynamo dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Anibal's 42. Dynamo forced 23 Anibal turnovers and outrebounded them 46-33 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international swingman Ahmad Ibrahim (198-92, college: Rice) stepped up and scored 32 points for the winners and Tanios Akiki chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Ghassan Tacca with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Hamoudy Turfe (183, college: UM-Dearborn) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dynamo have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Newly promoted Dynamo maintains first place with 9-0 record. Anibal at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
