Regular Season Round 26: Fukuoka R. - Kumamoto V. 80-102

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Fukuoka R. (11-15) was rolled over at home by third ranked Kumamoto V. (15-11) 102-80 on Wednesday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Fukuoka R.'s players. The best player for the winners was American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. American guard Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: JCSU) produced 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. moved-up to second place, which they share with Nishinomiya S. Loser Fukuoka R. keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Kumamoto V. will meet Ehime OV (#6) in the next round. Fukuoka R. will play against Aomori W. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
