Regular Season Round 24: Chiba Jets - Toyama G. 105-64

B1 League top team - Chiba Jets (18-6) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Toyama G. (8-16) 105-64. Chiba Jets shot 60.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Chiba Jets players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Toyama G.'s players. The winners were led by American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who scored that evening 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) supported him with 19 points and 8 assists. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds by American center Joshua Smith (208-92, college: Georgetown) did not help to save the game for Toyama G.. His fellow American import forward Brice Johnson (206-94, college: UNC) added 10 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-6 record, which they share with Kawasaki BT. Toyama G. at the other side keeps the ninth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Yokohama BC. Chiba Jets will play against Shinshu BW (#7) in Nagano in the next round where they are favorite. Toyama G. will play on the road against Hiroshima D. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
