Regular Season Round 24: San-en NP - Ryukyu GK 69-101

B1 League top team - Ryukyu GK (21-3) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked San-en NP (4-20) in Hamamatsu 101-69. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by San-en NP's players. The best player for the winners was American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Christian) who scored 16 points and 7 assists. The other American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and Filipino guard Ferdinand Ravena (189-96) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Loser San-en NP keeps the tenth place with 20 games lost. Ryukyu GK will meet at home Hokkaido L. (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. San-en NP will play against the league's second-placed Kawasaki BT in Kanagawa and hope to secure a win.
