Regular Season Round 24: Alvark Tokyo - Tochigi Brex 69-66

The most exciting game of round 24 in the B1 League took place in Tokyo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Tochigi Brex (15-9) to third ranked Alvark Tokyo (17-7) 69-66 on Wednesday evening. Alvark Tokyo outrebounded Tochigi Brex 41-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-93, college: Hawaii) scored 16 points. Tochigi Brex's coach Ryuzo Anzai tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Alvark Tokyo have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nagoya DD and Shimane SM. Tochigi Brex at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Alvark Tokyo is looking forward to face Ibaraki R. (#10) in Mito in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
