Regular Season Round 24: Shimane SM - Sea Horses M. 92-78

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Sea Horses M. (13-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Shimane SM (17-7) 92-78 on Wednesday. Shimane SM shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Seiya Ando (184-92) who scored 22 points and 8 assists. American forward Reid Travis (203-95, college: Kentucky, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Satoshi Nagano (175-95) added 12 points and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sea Horses M.'s coach Kimikazu Suzuki let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shimane SM moved-up to second place, which they share with Nagoya DD and Alvark Tokyo. Loser Sea Horses M. keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Shimane SM will meet at home league's second-placed Nagoya DD in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sea Horses M. will play against Kyoto H. and hope to secure a win.
