Regular Season Round 23: Hitachi SRT - Chiba Jets 91-82

Top ranked Chiba Jets (17-6) recorded its sixth loss in Tokyo on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Hitachi SRT (15-8) 91-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chiba Jets. Hitachi SRT made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Chiba Jets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. International point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) chipped in 33 points (!!!). International power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: UConn) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi SRT moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Defending champion Chiba Jets still keep top position with six games lost. They share it with Kawasaki BT. Hitachi SRT is looking forward to face Akita NH (#6) on the road in the next round. Chiba Jets will play against Toyama G. (#9) and are hoping to win this game.
