Regular Season Round 23: Yokohama BC - Ryukyu GK 66-79

Leader Ryukyu GK delivered the twentieth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 9th ranked Yokohama BC (7-16) 79-66. They outrebounded Yokohama BC 38-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Christian) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. Czech Patrik Auda (204-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Leyton Hammonds (203-94, college: OK State, agency: BeoBasket) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ryukyu GK (20-3) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost. Ryukyu GK will meet San-en NP (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yokohama BC will play against Niigata A. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
