Regular Season Round 23: Tochigi Brex - Shimane SM 70-95

Another exciting game was between third ranked Shimane SM and 4th placed Tochigi Brex where Shimane SM (16-7) crushed Tochigi Brex (15-8) on the road with 25-point difference 95-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. Shimane SM players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International guard Seiya Ando (184-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Perrin Buford (198-94, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-93, college: Hawaii) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) added 17 points in the effort for Tochigi Brex. Tochigi Brex's coach Ryuzo Anzai gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Shimane SM moved-up to second place, which they share with Nagoya DD and Alvark Tokyo. Tochigi Brex at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Hitachi SRT. Shimane SM will play against Sea Horses M. (#5) in Kariya in the next round. Tochigi Brex will play on the road against Alvark Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
