Rather expected game when 12th ranked Yokohama EX (5-17) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Tokyo HT (13-11) 84-77 on Saturday. Tokyo HT had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-93) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-93, college: Alberta) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) scored 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
