No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Okayama (15-5) smashed at home 11th ranked Yamaguchi (6-16) 108-81 on Friday. They outrebounded Yamaguchi 42-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. Okayama looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: OK State) scored 29 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Okayama players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Robert Sampson (203-92, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okayama have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Yamaguchi lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
