Regular Season Round 21: Hitachi SRT - Ryukyu GK 85-89

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tokyo. 3rd placed host Hitachi SRT (14-7) lost to first ranked Ryukyu GK (18-3) 89-85. Ryukyu GK shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Christian) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. Forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Hitachi SRT in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ryukyu GK have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-3 record. Hitachi SRT lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Ryukyu GK will play against Yokohama BC (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hitachi SRT will play against the league's leader Chiba Jets (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
