Regular Season Round 18: Kerman - Gorgan 80-93

Leader Gorgan delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Kerman (6-5) 93-80. Gorgan dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Kerman's 32. Gorgan forced 19 Kerman turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. American Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Siamak Torabikhah (188-92) replied with 27 points and 5 rebounds and the former international point guard Mohammad Falahat (180-91) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Kerman. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gorgan (9-1) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position, which they share with Chemidor. Kerman at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
