Regular Season Round 20: Hitachi SRT - Ryukyu GK 60-80

An interesting game for Ryukyu GK (17-3) which played road game in Tokyo against one of their biggest challengers Hitachi SRT (14-6). First ranked Ryukyu GK had an easy win 80-60. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists and the former international swingman Keita Imamura (191-96) supported him with 19 points. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by American forward James McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Hitachi SRT. His fellow American import forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ryukyu GK have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-3 record. Hitachi SRT at the other side dropped to the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Shimane SM. Ryukyu GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hitachi SRT will play again against the league's leader Ryukyu GK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
