Regular Season Round 22: Kumamoto V. - Fukushima 93-74

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Kumamoto V. (12-10) outplayed at home their biggest opponent Fukushima (15-7) 93-74 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) notched 22 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and the other American import swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists by American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Fukushima. Finnish-American power forward Erik Murphy (208-90, college: Florida) added 21 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Nishinomiya S. and Yamagata. Loser Fukushima keeps the second position with seven games lost. Kumamoto V. will again meet at home league's second-placed Fukushima in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fukushima will have a break next round.
