Regular Season Round 20: Gunma CT - Akita NH 72-82
Date: December 18, 2021
The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Akita NH's (12-8) road victory over 7th ranked Gunma CT (10-10) 82-72 on Saturday. The winners were led by American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Guinea-Bissau-American center Colton Iverson (212-89, college: Colorado St., agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American center Kyle Barone (203-89, college: Idaho) did not help to save the game for Gunma CT. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Four Akita NH and five Gunma CT players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Akita NH moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sea Horses M. and Hiroshima D. Newly promoted Gunma CT dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Osaka E.. Akita NH will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gunma CT will play again against Akita NH (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
