Regular Season Round 20: Alvark Tokyo - Ibaraki R. 79-73
Date: December 18, 2021
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Alvark Tokyo (13-7) beat at home 10th ranked Ibaraki R. (3-17) 79-73 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Alvark Tokyo outrebounded Ibaraki R. 41-29 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and international forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds by American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) did not help to save the game for Ibaraki R.. His fellow American import forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Alvark Tokyo moved-up to third place, which they share with Nagoya DD and Tochigi Brex. Newly promoted Ibaraki R. keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with San-en NP and Kyoto H.. Alvark Tokyo will again meet at home Ibaraki R. (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ibaraki R. will have a break next round.
