Regular Season Round 19: Shizuoka - Kagoshima 79-82

The most exciting game of round 19 in the B3 League took place in Shizuoka. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Shizuoka (13-5) to fifth ranked Kagoshima (13-5) 82-79 in the game for the fourth place. Kagoshima had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Christian Cunningham (201-97, college: JSU) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-93, college: LCU) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) produced a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 22 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: CMU) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kagoshima moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Shizuoka. Kagoshima is looking forward to face Gifu (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Shizuoka will play against Toyoda (#13) in Aichi and is hoping to win this game.
