Regular Season Round 2: Fubon Braves - Lioneers 98-87

There was no surprise when Lioneers were defeated by Fubon Braves 98-87 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fubon Braves made 8 blocks. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and guard Joseph Lin (185-92, college: Hamilton) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: NM State) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 23 rebounds and point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-98) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Taipei Kings.
