Regular Season Round 20: Tokyo Z - Kumamoto V. 78-109

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Kumamoto V. (10-10) outscored on the road 6th ranked Tokyo Z (3-18) 109-78 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds. Kumamoto V.'s coach Don Beck felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Haitian forward Marc-Eddy Norelia (203-93, college: FGCU, agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and guard Takumi Masuko (186-91) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kumamoto V. moved-up to third place. Loser Tokyo Z keeps the sixth position with 18 games lost. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo Z will play again against Kumamoto V. (#3) and hope to secure a win.
