Regular Season Round 17: Kyoto H. - Nagoya DD 58-91

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Nagoya DD (10-7) outplayed on the road 11th ranked Kyoto H. (2-15) 91-58 on Saturday. They outrebounded Kyoto H. 41-26 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nagoya DD looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. Power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) nailed 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) accounted for 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Nagoya DD players scored in double figures. Nagoya DD's coach Shawn Dennis felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Justin Harper (208-89, college: Richmond) came up with 30 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for Kyoto H. in the defeat. Nagoya DD maintains fourth place with 10-7 record, which they share with Akita NH. Kyoto H. lost fourteenth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Niigata A. and Ibaraki R.. Nagoya DD will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto H. will play again against Nagoya DD (#4) and hope to secure a win.
