Regular Season Round 1: Steelers - Fubon Braves 82-107

Very important is a loss of Steelers against Fubon Braves on Sunday night. Steelers were crushed by Fubon Braves 107-82. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers' 48. Fubon Braves forced 21 Steelers turnovers and outrebounded them 62-51 including 22 on the offensive glass. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89, agency: BIG) accounted for 12 points and 14 rebounds. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSUM) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) added 17 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Steelers in the defeat. Five Fubon Braves and four Steelers players scored in double figures. Steelers' coach DeMarcus Berry gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Fubon Braves will play against Lioneers in Hsinchu in the next round. Steelers will play at home against Lioneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
