Everything went according to plan in Okinawa where first ranked Ryukyu GK (13-3) won against 9th ranked Toyama G. (4-12) 80-69 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Brice Johnson (206-94, college: UNC) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and Zimbabwean-American forward Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 19 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-3 record. Loser Toyama G. keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Ryukyu GK will meet Tochigi Brex (#5) on the road in the next round. Toyama G. will play against Shiga L-Stars (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
