Regular Season Round 1: Dreamers - Fubon Braves 111-108

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Fubon Braves against Dreamers on Saturday night. Dreamers were edged by Dreamers 111-108. Dreamers forced 24 Fubon Braves turnovers. Strangely Fubon Braves outrebounded Dreamers 61-41 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized American swingman Kenny Chien (188-95, college: Broward CC) stepped up and scored 30 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international guard Yung-Sheng Wu (188-96) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side Maltese center Samuel Deguara (230-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 20 rebounds and the former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-88, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Four Dreamers and five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dreamers are looking forward to face Pilots in Taoyuan in the next round. Fubon Braves will play at home against Lioneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
