Regular Season Round 15: Shinshu BW - Tochigi Brex 63-72

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Nagano where 4th placed Shinshu BW (9-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Tochigi Brex (11-5) 72-63 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-90) who scored 19 points. American power forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 6 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and international guard Yuta Okada (189-98) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Tochigi Brex. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shinshu BW will play again against Tochigi Brex (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
