Regular Season Round 14: Saitama - Kanazawa 85-53
Date: November 26, 2021
Bottom-ranked Kanazawa is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to fifth ranked Saitama (10-6) 85-53 on Friday evening. Saitama forced 21 Kanazawa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St.) supported him with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Saitama players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by Serbian forward Dusan Vicentic (204-97, college: WVWC) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa. Hiroto Tamada (179-93) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama maintains fifth position with 10-6 record. Loser Kanazawa still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
