Date: November 23, 2021
The game between Top Four teams took place in Pavlodar. Second ranked host Irtysh (6-2) smashed their close opponent Nur-Sultan Tigers (5-2) 68-42. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nur-Sultan Tigers. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Irtysh forced 25 Nur-Sultan Tigers turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Valeriya Kapitonova (180-1) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Rufina Gavriluk (176-86) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. International forward Daria Koroleva (182-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Anastasia Knaub (184-5) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Nur-Sultan Tigers in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Irtysh maintains second place with 6-2 record behind leader Turan. Nur-Sultan Tigers at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Okzhetpes. Irtysh will play against bottom-ranked Shymkent (#8) in Kazygurt in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nur-Sultan Tigers will play at home against SCYSS (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.
