Very important is a road loss of second ranked Nishinomiya S. (9-6) against fourth ranked Fukuoka R. (7-8) on Monday night. Visiting Nishinomiya S. was defeated by Fukuoka R. in a tough game in Fukuoka 69-75. It was a good game for Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American power forward Gerald Beverly (202-93, college: Daemen) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Noriaki Dohara (178-89) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Nishinomiya S.Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fukuoka R. maintains fourth place with 7-8 record. Nishinomiya S. lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with six games lost. They share it with Fukushima. Fukuoka R. will play against higher ranked Kumamoto V. (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nishinomiya S. will play against the league's second-placed Koshigaya A. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
