The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Okayama's (8-4) home victory over 8th ranked Tokyo HT (6-8) 100-70 on Saturday. Okayama forced 22 Tokyo HT turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. Okayama looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tokyo HT's players. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) stepped up and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: OK State) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. Four Okayama players scored in double figures. At the losing side Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-93) responded with 20 points and American forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Okayama moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kagoshima. Tokyo HT lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Gifu. Okayama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo HT will play against Aisin AW (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
