We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tianjin where 16th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (3-10) were outplayed by seventeenth ranked Pioneers (3-10) 97-77 on Sunday. Pioneers made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Taiwanese guard Benson Lin (194-99, college: Bryant) who scored 32 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Center Ning Pan (210-95) chipped in 13 points. Four Pioneers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Quanxi Wu (210-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Hongfei Shi (183-93) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively. Jiangsu Dragons' coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Pioneers moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Jiangsu Dragons.
