Regular Season Round 11: Nagasaki - Okayama 107-97

Undefeated leader Nagasaki delivered the twelfth consecutive victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Okayama (6-4) 107-97. Nagasaki made 30-of-38 charity shots (78.9 percent) during the game. Okayama was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Nagasaki players scored in double figures. American forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: OK State) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and guard Tsubasa Kozakai (185-94) added 15 points in the effort for Okayama. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nagasaki (12-0) have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains first place with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Okayama at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Kagoshima. Nagasaki will again play against Okayama (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Okayama will have a break next round.
