The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hitech as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hitech smashed their close opponent TGE on the road 93-66. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Hitech dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to TGE's 30. They outrebounded TGE 51-34 including 21 on the offensive glass. Hitech looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international point guard Nattakarn Muangboon (180-91) fired 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Saran Baitanee chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Four Hitech players scored in double figures. Thaksdanai Chulathep produced 22 points and 4 assists and Callahan Setakhet added 10 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitech have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Bangkok Tigers. TGE at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. TGE will play next round against strong Sting Rays trying to get back on the winning streak. Hitech will try to continue on its current victory against Dunkin' Raptors at home.
