Regular Season Round 12: San-en NP - Shinshu BW 79-92

No shocking result in a game in Hamamatsu where sixth ranked Shinshu BW (7-5) won against 9th ranked San-en NP (3-9) 92-79 on Wednesday. They outrebounded San-en NP 36-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Yuta Okada (189-98) chipped in 23 points. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) who recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Shota Tsuyama (178-96) added 17 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shinshu BW moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. San-en NP lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Shinshu BW will meet at home Shiga L-Stars (#7) in the next round. San-en NP will play against Toyama G. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
