Regular Season Round 9: Bangkok Tigers - Hitech 54-98

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Bangkok Tigers (8-1) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were rolled over by third ranked Hitech (7-2) 98-54. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Bangkok Tigers. Hitech dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bangkok Tigers' 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The former international point guard Nattakarn Muangboon (180-91) stepped up and scored 25 points and 8 assists for the winners and the former international Nakorn Jaisanuk (188-91) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Hitech players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Tanner Hazelbaker (184, college: WBU) with 17 points and 6 assists and Siriwut Thipchanok scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitech have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 7-2 record behind leader Bangkok Tigers. Bangkok Tigers at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with TGE.
