Regular Season Round 12: Nagoya DD - Hiroshima D. 82-76

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Hiroshima D. (7-5) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Nagoya DD (7-5) 82-76 on Wednesday. Nagoya DD looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Nagoya DD's coach Shawn Dennis used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Four Hiroshima D. players scored in double figures. Nagoya DD moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hiroshima D. Hiroshima D. lost fourth consecutive game. Nagoya DD will meet higher ranked Sea Horses M. (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Hiroshima D. will play against the league's second-placed Hitachi SRT and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
