We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Kyoto H. (2-10) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Toyama G. (2-10) 94-80 on Wednesday. Toyama G. outrebounded Kyoto H. 34-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Toyama G. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was Zimbabwean-American forward Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. American center Joshua Smith (208-92, college: Georgetown) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Toyama G. players scored in double figures. Toyama G.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: SDJ Sports) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Justin Harper (208-89, college: Richmond) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively.
