Everything went according to plan when second ranked Ryukyu GK (9-2) defeated on the road 10th ranked Niigata A. (2-9) 71-63 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Christian) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: NM State) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Niigata A. in the defeat. Four Niigata A. players scored in double figures. Niigata A.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ryukyu GK have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Niigata A. lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Kyoto H. and Ibaraki R.. Ryukyu GK will meet league's second-placed Sea Horses M. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
